The famous (or infamous?) 2010 doujin work Monster Girl Encyclopedia has been licensed for US release by Seven Seas Entertainment. The book will release on September 20th and will retail for $24.99, with its content uncensored.
Originally released in 2010 by Kenkou Cross, the Monster Girl Encyclopedia can be partially blamed for the “monster musume” craze of recent years, which culminated earlier this year with the Everyday Life With Monster Girls anime. The book is presented as the notes of a young scholar studying monsters in a fantasy world. The book contains a selection of one hundred illustrations of cute and sexy monster girls, with details on each one.
Seven Seas already has the licenses to the Everyday Life With Monster Girls manga, A Centaur’s Life, and Nurse Hitomi’s Monster Infirmary, so seeing them pick up the Monster Girl Encyclopedia is welcome news for monster musume fans. Monster girl lovers across the US will no doubt be ecstatic to get their hands on Seven Seas’ translated hardcover release next September.
Naturally, the nature of the book’s content makes it adult material. Here’s hoping Seven Seas picks up the rest of the books in the series.
